Dear 3rd Graders,

Welcome to your Class Blog.  I am Ms.Lenny , your homeroom teacher, or you can simply call me Ms.L.

 This year, we named this blog B3L.blogspot.com for 1 simple reasons.

Reason no.1 is because your class room door number is B3 so to make it simple we will use it too as your class blog address.


Please feel free to use this class blog. There are some ground rules in here for you to know:

1. Keep it positive
    This class blog mostly will be used to display your works and for teachers to give assignments to be published in the blog. However, you also have the ownership of this class blog. You may use it for sharing information to your parents or friends , and of course your teacher whether it's something related to you Unit of Inquiry or something that interesting and useful. Just make sure it's POSITIVE including the comments that you want to put up here.

2. Keep it acknowledgeable
    Make sure you write your name either in the title post, below the posting or in comment box everytime you post sometihing. So, you teachers also know who actively participate in this blog and of course you will get credit for doing so.

BACKGROUND

The digital turn in education has been described across a wide range of initiatives and processes. These include the introduction of digital tools and gadgets as a part of the learning environment, building digital archives and repositories of learning and curriculum building, facilitating remote access to education through information and communications technologies  infrastructure, improving quality of access to education and learning resources, and building diverse to accommodate for alternative and contesting perspectives, building peer knowledge communities of information and knowledge production, and including non-canonical material and experiences into formal institutions of education.

FORM
This blog is used as learning support off class and off books. We tried to support the learners by having a different way of learning in digital era, that easily access by students and parents. We choose the simple layout with auto postings organization based by Monthy.

FUNCTION
To provide class community (teachers, parents and students), information  media and a shared digital classroom so everyone can participate and take benefits from the information provided.

CAUSATION
To accommodate the learners and class community in digital classroom.  The big goal of digital classrooms – personalized learning – is enabled through technologies, this article answers about what technologies CAN do and SHOULD do in personalized learning or differentiated teaching.

PERSPECTIVE
Technology is an advantage in the classroom for the following reasons:

• Motivates students in their learning due to their enjoyment and ease of use with various technological mediums.
• Reaches students of various learning styles. Technology use applies to and compliments  Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence.
• Allows students to create and design their own unique products reflective of their personalities and learning needs/styles.
• Encourages students to manipulate media to construct their own meaning.
• Enables students to easy share their learning with teachers, families and peers.
• Gives students the chance to explore technological mediums which in inevitable increase job skills that employers look for in the workforce.

RESPONSIBILITY

Teachers

Teachers will monitor the blog activity and it's contents. The teachers will delete unappropriate comments nor contents.

Students

To follow the ground rules and responsible with blog's activity and contents.

Parents

To actively participate in support and assist students at home.

You may travel digitally to previous year class blogs as illustrations and guidance.
